Welcome to Jemima & Electra's Jellicle Junkyard. Here you can find information on the Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "CATS". Based on the poems of T. S. Eliot's book Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, CATS musical was written in 1981. Gillian Lynne choreographed and co-directed the show with director Trevor Nunn. John Napier designed the original sets and costumes. It was produced by Cameron Mackintosh. The show first opened in the West End in 1981 at the New London Theatre followed by its Broadway debut in 1982 at the Winter Garden Theatre. Today CATS can be seen around the world including Japan and Germany. There are also national tours in the US and the UK. On this site you can find pictures from around the world and information on tickets to the show.
